Château Clos St. Martin

St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2006

Clos St. Martin was established in 1850 and named after the neighbouring church of Saint- Martin. Clos St Martin is just 1.33 hectare and is the smallest classified growth in Saint-Émilion. An interesting lighter style Bordeaux. Dark berry fruit aromas, earthy herb spice. On the palate complex black fruit flavors and espresso notes. Soft tannins, smoky oak, medium+ finish, earthy mineral ending. Drink now. — 4 years ago

François Cazin (Le Petit Chambord)

Le Petit Chambord Vendanges Manuelles Cour-Cheverny AOC Romorantin 2014

Searing acid aroma that softens as it breathes; over-ripe pomelo/grapefruit scent and flavour which faded on the second day into old book/church. Browned butter, melon and nuts. Slightly honeyed opening with a mineral and tart finish. A bit unusual - i didn't like it on Day 1 but really enjoyed it on Day 2! — 4 years ago

Château Haut-Bergey

Pessac-Léognan Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

Not lacking in color. Big meaty wine. Kind of has an incense thing going on like at church with some chocolate. I bought a case a while back and this was only the third bottle I have had. Should be fun to watch the evolution of this wine — 4 years ago
