This Syrah was riper than most Washington State Syrahs I have had in the past (Global warming?) The splash of viognier at the end definitely added some roundness to the finish. Cherry Vanilla Coke. I have a thing for owls, so naturally I love the label. — 9 years ago
2007 Vintage - Slovenia! This is an elegant monster. Enjoyed with grilled tenderloin and friends. Decanted for two hours prior to drinking. That definitely loosened it up. It's complex and every sip brought something a little different for me. Saddle leather for sure, mocha and earth. Reminescent of Drinking coffee while eating Black currant buttermilk scones while walking a little too close to a petting zoo. — 9 years ago
Anton Bauer - Brut Rose' 2012 Wagram/Austria Anton loves Billecart (& so do I) :-) He created this sparkling rose of pinot noir for himself! It's insanely good at 1/3 the price! Giddyup! #austrianwine — 9 years ago
I found this in Central Market in Fort Worth Texas on a trip to visit my momma! Thats her homeade Parker County Peach ice cream under the bottle. I did not pair with that. I knew about the locations project from Phinney but had no idea there was a Texes one! I was very excited to try it. Grapes sourced from Lubbock(maybe from McPherson cellars?) Anyway I bought it and we had it on July 4th with tender brisket. I really thought it was going to be Bigger than it was (everything is bigger in Texas- ha ha) But it wasn't a punch in the palate, more like a soft jaw massage. It was fine cherry goodness. I wouldn't kick it out of bed, but i wouldnt go back for seconds. — 9 years ago
it doesnt taste as bad as it looks!! ha ha But it still freaks me out! #Bluesparkling — 9 years ago
Aurelia 2013

beautiful salinity. dry. good minerality. volcanic soil. lable designed by winemaker's daughter 20 years ago. 2014 vintage. Importer told me it takes 1 kilo of grapes to make 1 bottle of wine. Aidani grape (i -donny) is very finicky. Very little of this grape on Santorini, so this wine is a labor of love. — 9 years ago
Like your favorite Jam band, not to complicated and easy listening. California black plum on the palate, blackberry cobbler, coming in a little hot on the finish. Could make for a killer burger night wine with friends. — 9 years ago
Smooth, sexy and suprisingly fresh for a 40 year old bottle. Light in clarity; almost pinot light. #1975 Barnyard beautiful! Smell reminds me of the rodeo arena seconds before I rip down the alley way on my big fast bay steed! — 9 years ago

If you are ever in Paso Robles, you "need" to visit Roger and his beautiful Great Danes. By appt. only, but he is such a delight. Tasting is at his home on a hilltop on the West side of Paso.. This is a beautiful expression of Chardonnay! — 9 years ago
