Second #riesling up in #FiftyTwoRieslingsOneYear. First dry in the bunch. Has a tart, crisp start, definitely dry. Little bit of lime/apple. Not a very lengthy finish at all, but will definitely come back to #JacobsCreek! #WeekTwo2015 — 10 years ago
First #riesling up in my #FiftyTwoRieslingsOneYear flight. Very nice, local (Indiana, USA) Riesling. Tastes like apple juice with a crisp, citrusy finish (reminiscent of 7-Up). #WeekOne2015 — 10 years ago
Don't need to wait, fantastic #riesling. First night I thought it was a dud. Thought it was very much in line with #EricSteinberg's rating of "eh" out of #DrFischer, but after a day or two it really opened up! Very crisp, fruity, and nice finish. Very #glouglou for sure. Had with smothered pork chops and was quite refreshing. #FiftyTwoRieslingsOneYear #WeekSix2015 — 10 years ago
Well, chalk one up to experience. I was quite enamored with this #riesling, light, crisp, great finish then I learned the hidden meaning in the label. Referring to Hugh J's pocket guide, I have now learned what a 'grosslage' is and why they are shunned. I am guessing it isn't so much due to flavor as much as it is ethics? Oh well, I have learned a lot about German wine at the very least. #FiftyTwoRieslingsOneYear #WeekThree2015 — 10 years ago
Very nice and simple #riesling. Nice and sweet, crisp on the backend. Easy drinking and definitely goes well with just about anything (mild spice seems to go well). Going to stay with #GermanWine for a while. #fiftytworieslingsoneyear #WeekFour2015 — 10 years ago
Fifth #riesling in, decent and easy. I'll admit, the first glass was a little off-putting. Crazy balance, tart, and certainly in total disagreement with its 'semi-sweet' marking. However, opened up and balanced out over the next couple of days. Somewhat reminiscent of #HeinzEifelSpatlese (not quite as sweet, but more acid, especially as evidenced by the tartaric acid sediment I found at the end of the bottle). Not bad, would buy again now that I know it needs some airing out. #FiftyTwoRieslingsOneYear #WeekFive2015 #StarlingCastle — 10 years ago

Once I learned what 'reductive' meant, this turned out to be a fantastic #riesling! That initial smell can be off-putting, but give it some swirl and some time and it opens beautifully. I must be on a roll because these last couple seem to be highly #glouglou, I can't make them last more than a couple days! Up next: the rest of #Prinz #RoterRiesling! I'm so excited!! #FiftyTwoRieslingsOneYear #WeekSeven2015 — 10 years ago
