With Abigail. On a night discussing boundaries and fragility, this wine was anything but fragile. Aroma deeply satisfying on its own. This made us happy. — 7 years ago
2007 still stinky first notes but lighter taste at Abigail’s — 8 years ago
At Abigail’s. Big stinky first impression. Earthy. Prominent tannins. Not for everyone, but for my attention — 8 years ago

We like the label. It did need to open up, which we should have asked to have decanted before the first glass because it did become more velvety. Initially separate fruit and deeper levels that blended upon breathing. This isn’t a 2014 Machete, which is what we asked for as a comparison from the wait staff, but certainly enjoyable. Initial fruit but not to much. Great with or without food. Drank with miso salmon. With Emma. A good all around wine. No complaints. Will look for again. — 8 years ago
Drank in Kona on the beach. Loved the bottle and glass stopper — 7 years ago
With Steve at Enzo’s. Stinky cheese aroma engaged my curiosity. A bit thinner than expected, but enjoyable — 7 years ago
2014. Paul bought. Dinner with P,P & S after a rough week of the Kavanaugh hearings. Much needed opportunity for convos, and wine and .... good food. Started the evening/ appetizers with this. Savory and intriguing nose. A bit surprising for a Syrah. We drank the Amani cab with dinner. More well rounded. — 7 years ago

With Emma. Upon first sip, both of us said “hmmm”. Rather a surprise first taste. Barnyard? Definitely earthy, which mellowed over time. Very interesting to drink by itself. — 4 years ago
