Second bottle from my club membership. Drank one last year, too. It needed time to open up, but when it did it still wasn't very memorable. Medium bodied, tart instead of rounded and a clean finish. Last year I remember more character and more nuance. Based on other reviews of older vintages, ill wait a few more years to open the next one. — 9 years ago
Enjoyed with braised green beans and roast pork tenderloin. Nice and easy for a Nebbiolo. — 9 years ago
This Merlot is fantastic. It's fruit forward, but with a tannic center and great backbone. Perhaps just a good year, but methinks they know what to do with their estate fruit. Bravo! — 9 years ago
Really enjoyed this rose purchased at Bi-rite in San Francisco. Drank it immediately, and quickly. More focused on herbs and acidity than fruit and juiciness. Paired nicely with gourmet vegetation pizza (background). — 9 years ago
Enjoyed this Chilean cab franc for its structure and depth. One of the more exciting Chilean wines for the price, too. After tasting some big Washington and California rhones, this can franc was still awesome. — 9 years ago
Really enjoyed this snappy Sancerre for the price. Nice find at Bi-rite in San Francisco. Serve extra cold. — 9 years ago
Bonus! We had the 2010 and the 2011. I'm going to rate the 2010 here. The nose and first sip were dark and black fruit forward. Smelled less like zin and more like a Bordeaux. Taste and finish had nice structure, round edges, and a lasting, full bodied kick. We preferred the 2010 to the 2011, which was a juicier and more fruity red. — 9 years ago
Pretty solid wine we got at Nob Hill grocery. Citrus and kiwi aromas, light/medium bodied. Puckery, but not sour. Finished with some rounder fruits like apricot or white plum. Went nicely with Spanish apps - Jamon Serrano, melon, manchego, and Marcona almonds. For $18, maybe we'll buy again. — 9 years ago

Birthday wine!! Woo hoo! Loved this big cab with grilled steak and veggies. Showing a bit of age in the rim, but nose and profile were still strong. Took a while to open up and drank a near perfect glass the following day. — 9 years ago
