I normally find Pinot Noirs to be the Sean Spicer of wines. I'm supposed to enjoy them, but can't quite bring myself to. Well, this is the Steve Bannon of wines. Wait, wait. Don't leave. It's bolder than one would expect, stays in the shadows but has a delightful wallop when swirled. If this wine published a bunch of fake news, it'd be him. Confused? I know I am. — 8 years ago
An excellent wine for $15, maybe $35. Really balanced, a little under acid for me, a touch of sweetness. Went great with a blue cheese. Think of it as the wine equivalent of a Subaru Forester. It won't blow your pants off, but it gets you from A to B safely, great traction and good off road capabilities. Wait, am I still on Delectable? — 9 years ago
Smooth as a baby's arse. Rich and thick like a black forest gateau. Some tannins, but not enough to make you fall off your horse. The hint of whisky comes out when you swill on the finish. Enjoy with another glass of wine — 7 years ago
Thick, lower tanin than one would expect. Perfectly drinkable sans food. Recommend with a strong but not too strong cheese — 8 years ago
Pant-moisteningly good. Full with a meaningful but not over powering tannin structure. Big notes, needs food. But again, not overwhelming — 9 years ago
It's a light barolo for sure. Very structured. If you like that sort of thing. Doesn't keep well. As I found out when I left a half open bottle in my car on a sunny day. Just as the Italians recommended. — 7 years ago
Dark cherry. Particularly on the nose. Thick like a stupid schoolboy. Lacks a wee bit of complexity. Like Peter Andre. But as dark as him in Mysterious Girl. — 8 years ago
Thick. Quite tannin-y. Initial taste hits you a little too hard. Fun, like a stripper turning up to your 18th birthday. — 9 years ago
Delicious. A classic Bordeaux for a great price. Just the right heaviness, slightly dry. Needs a little cheese as lube. — 9 years ago
