100% Nero d'Avola, yet bearing little resemblance to the COS Lupo. Earthier, but not spicy. More tannic but not a lot of depth. — 11 years ago
Robin brought a buddy for my wine! A deeper, spicier approach at 100% Nero d'Avola, the Nero di Lupo (wolf's tail) is going well with my pepperoni slice! — 11 years ago
Piedirosso - red foot, originally referring to the stems on the grape clusters looking like pigeon feet. From a volcanic area know as Campi Flegrei, on the coast just north of Naples. Funky! — 11 years ago
This Joly is as strangely erotic as Angelina Jolie. It should be a little scary, and yet, how can you resist? Intentionally oxidative Chenin Blanc that rests on the lees for several years. And yet, still fruit. — 11 years ago
A wine you are too busy enjoying the bouquet of to notice that you haven't drunk it yet! Deep purple violets morph into serious spice - anise being dominant. — 11 years ago
Pretty, pretty girl! My second encounter with Nerello Mascalese in under a month - 80%, with 20% Nerello Cappuccio. Sweet, succulent strawberries with a sachet of freshly pressed flowers. Loving it! Light and delicate like a Victorian lady in spring. — 11 years ago
Round and seductive, but not at all slutty. Hee hee. — 11 years ago
This may be my first wine from Molise! Still young, even though it's got a couple years on it. A little dark and dirty. 80% Montepulciano and 20% Alianico. — 11 years ago
My contribution to the night, an excuse to pull out the COS. 60% Nero d'Avola, 40% Frappato, biodynamic, natural winemaking, and fermented and aged in clay amphora. Creates a very different feel and presence with the tannins. — 11 years ago

I'm in love! No dosage cremant. The fruit is amazing! Fresh Bosch Pear, dried apricot, just beautiful. — 11 years ago
