Makes mouth happy should be the tag line for this wine. It drinks like a bag of Twizzlers. Inky in color, plum, black cherry and lavender on the nose with a big old fruit bomb that expertly softens the perfect acidity. This is a bottle that aged perfectly. Perfectly refined. And a first vintage. — 9 years ago
What a difference a year makes! Super rich mouth feel with huge blackberry and dark chocolate notes. This wine hides the big spice flavor with rich subnettleness and soft tannins. Drink now! — 10 years ago

Ashley must have been quite the lady b/c this wine has it all. Fruit, complexity, structure and some attitude. Even after all these years in the bottle and after sitting open for a long time, she showed you she packs a huge punch. Almost too much alcohol but done so well! — 9 years ago
Smells like a peach fuzzy navel but drinks like a classy lady. This is a sublime Extra Brut. Lots of creamy vanilla balanced with the perfect amount of acidic honeysuckle. The finish has the perfect amount of sweetness and finishes just barely long enough to be considered lingering. Delicious. — 10 years ago
If you like Pinot...this is your wine! Wow!!!! Don’t let it age too long...it’s a high alcohol beauty free l the start and gets better with age but the licorice and sweet strawberry mask all of the alcohol. Rich, lush, and sooooooo drinkable. Best wine I’ve had in a long time. Every sip makes me want to slow down and savor the next...it’s THAT good. — 7 years ago
This is the Syrah you dream about. Big, bold but a beauty with style. Layers of black cherry, black pepper, smoke and all spice mingle with plum, graham cracker and tobacco on the nose. An irresistible combination of flavors including black cherry, black currant, blackberry, smoked meat and dark chocolate are truly pleasing on the palate. — 9 years ago
Waited 10 years to drink this and it won't let you down. This is a special wine; unexpected. Dark fruit and mocha followed by toast and caramel richness from the French Oak. This is a soft and round wine with great mouthfeel. It drinks very easy then finished LONG, dry with a perfect hint of spicy which had been softened from age. A really great wine that is at it's peak in 2015. — 10 years ago
