honestly my rating is influenced by the name ... blind test would probably yield a 8.5.

a bit zingy on both the nose and finish. overall smooth and tonight was best choice for a bottle of red on the menu — 9 years ago

definitely a smooth wine with touch of sweet cherry/currant and virtually little or no heat on the finish. always like this one best after it opens up for 30+ minutes.

this is one of those wines where i go all "sideways" on by pushing my nose deep into the glass (reidel vinum xl cabernet) & inhaling for an overly embarrassing amount of time.

love the nose but just wish it had more taste structure for me to push it to a 9.5+ rating — 8 years ago
