I enjoyed it after it opened up, it may just have needed to breathe and wasn't corked. Let's not assume I know anything :)

confirmed with coworker, it wasn't corked. Copain is high acid Chard so it just needed to open up. apparently corked wine smells and tastes like wet cardboard and is specifically from a microbe that grows in cork.
