Very very very dry. Some aromatics but not much taste there. I enjoyed, but I could have used some more fruit in the flavor. Maybe a warmer climate next time? — 6 years ago

Gran Reserva Valle del Maipo Carménère 2015
Definitely spicy, like a spiced coffee rub with deep savoury notes. Heat. There was some fruit in it, but not sour or acidic—I guess that might be jammy? It was really a delicious wine. Maybe red or black fruit jam. Very light. But amazing spiciness and rich jerkiness to it. Damn near umami.
Will definitely have again. Could have had a bit more body, but that might just be a personal taste I’m looking for. Not sure. — 6 years ago

Very big on spice with a nice smoke to it, but not as much fruit as some other pinotages. Full bodied. Richness. Heavier and not as light as other pinotages. Big acidity. — 6 years ago
