Drank this with a Somm friend who thought it was French :) What stood out about this bottle was balance- a perfect arc. Not sure why people poorly review Napa's 2011 vintage but I love them. Slightly lower alcohol meant I could enjoy a glass as its own main event — 9 years ago

a broad, even-handed attack of the stone, and tropical fruit, & well-cured leathers.
this cab sauv was almost as charming and delightful as the host.

So refined, you'd think this wine gets Botox- she's taking her age with such grace :) The bouquet at first was almost stringent, giving way to notes of florals and baking spice. Perfect balance of fruit and earth. I especially loved the lower alcohol. What a treat. — 10 years ago
