Young white Burgundy went great with Jarrett's food. Fresh fruit, vibrant acid and good structure. Really stood out with a squash soup with hazelnuts and a bit of egg yolk drizzled in at the end. This one will probably get its act together with another year in bottle, but it did just fine with a casual dinner tonight. — 10 years ago
