Powerful, dark, brooding. Primary early in the decant, but later opened up to smoke, chocolate, and licorice. A well made old world right bank that was still a bit austere but paired well with French duck. — 6 years ago

Pencil lead, graphite, fresh black and blue fruit even at 22 years old. Simply fantastic Napa cab. Feels ageless. Well done Tom. — 9 years ago

Fresh right out of the bottle with nice minerality. Not much fruit or depth at this stage but has potential. A well crafted simple Pinot that should improve over time. — 9 years ago

Limited nose and attack but showed well on the finish. Fully integrated and rounded. Rustic, leathery and dry. No fireworks but a nice wine with tenderloin. — 8 years ago

By no means just a beach bottle. Minerals, oak, honey with clean, soft finish. Drinking nicely now but will benefit from a few more yrs. — 9 years ago

Bit young and tannic, needs hour+ decant but overall nice Pauillac. Black cherry, alcohol, spice, cassis. More dry than fruit. — 9 years ago

Leather and tar nose. Mid palate layered with tannin and spice. Classically rendered Brunello. Overachieving for the vintage. — 8 years ago

New Napa cab for me that seems under the radar. Full body with rich fruit that showed an hour or so after decant. Paired well with venison. Good QPR. — 8 years ago

Som recommended basic table wine. Soil, tobacco, wet stone. Paired surprisingly well with oysters. Wine stood well on its own but cab franc still just a blending grape in my book. — 9 years ago
