Very much like a heavy Merlot. Unlike the very heavy body we enjoy from an old vine Zinfandel, this was lighter in richness, but full of taste. It had the proper spicy, peppery quality with a very smooth finish. Well worth the $23.00. It was opened during our romantic dinner at our home with 2 other couples. — 11 years ago
Cold grape... Steal. Not pleasant. Not warm. Not smooth. Too much to give up for a nice fruity flavor. — 11 years ago

The perfect wine to accompany a lobster fettuccine. Just enough flavor to enhance the meal rather than take away from it with too much power. Very smooth from start to finish. Like chocolate berries covered with silk. Enjoyed at a romantic Valentine's Day dinner at home with 2 other couples. — 11 years ago

It was opened in Lancaster during a weekend get-away at the "Inn at Leola Village". Wonder, deep taste... But a tad harsh at the finish. — 11 years ago
Our mainstay champagne. When you don't want to take any risks but need to keep it formal and classy, this is our "go to" choice. Perfect before the meal for the toast, then follow through with a salad. When you get through the bubbles, you'll feel the rich taste of caramel and fruit long after you've swallowed it. Beautiful amber color with the elegance of blonde note. It was enjoyed at a romantic Valentine's Day dinner at our home with 2 other couples. — 11 years ago
Though it didn't have the usual buttery oakiness I've come to expect from Mer Soleil Chardonnay, I was thrilled to taste such rich fruitiness. Silver comes bottled in a "cement" bottle to remind us that it was aged in small concrete tanks from France. This allows, like oak, a trace of oxygen to seep in which helps to enhance the flavor. Very bright fresh fruit characters. It was opened at our home in Bensalem during a romantic Valentine's Day dinner with 2 other couples. — 11 years ago
Though at one time this wine may have been good, it was not when we had it. Maybe it was stored improperly or maybe our pallets were off because of the food we had eaten, but the wine was not enjoyable. It started with a light, fruitiness which was immediately followed by a harsh bite that lasted long after swallowed. It was far from smooth and silky. We were dining at the Belvedere Inn in a Lancaster, PA. — 11 years ago

Dinner out with Diane & Ray in Lancaster, PA. This was one of the most smooth and silky wines we ever tasted! The light fruity nose was just enough to satisfy without overwhelming. The only negative is that we only had one bottle! — 11 years ago
