Strong smell of tomato. Carries through to the taste, which combines with the classic bell pepper of cab franc. Interesting and unique. It sounds ridiculous, but it’s like a bright tomato sauce. Pairs really well with cheese.... like tomatoes. No one else tastes tomatoes, but they agree with pepper. Basics. — 5 years ago
Cherry for sure. Black currant. Smooth and a little smokey. Big hit with the crowd. — 5 years ago
Not sweet, but hardly bone dry. Very enjoyable. Honey. Slight flavors of lemon zest and green apple. Expected more bubbles. — 5 years ago

Most tasters in our group weren’t fans, despite being almost exclusively dry red drinkers. Thoughts included too puckery and a bit sour. — 5 years ago
Smooth and brighter than expected. Still has that earthiness of a Cahors. — 5 years ago
Non acidic. Very smooth. Lots of bright flavor, but no aftertaste. Great for sharing with friends, but it’s hard to share such a good wine. Way to go, Virginia. — 5 years ago
