Great wine! Little no no acidity. No indigestion after drinking. Light tannins with a wet finish. Flavor is good despite the alcohol nose with little alcohol taste. Good deal at $4 from Kroger. — 9 years ago
Dryer wine with a smooth finish like the other person said. Smooth flavor throughout the entire bottle. Very little acidity has hit me. Not overly complex. Alcohol is light on this one and isn't in your face or even slightly noticeable. I would drink this again. For me it is comparable to several $20 bottles but for only $5 it's a steal. Found it while pursuing the $3 buck chuck bin and couldn't have been happier. — 9 years ago
This particular wine started my wine drinking which is where my love affair for wine started. I revisited this one recently and I am troubled that it's fallen from the pedestal for me a bit. Citrus hits me particularly hard on tongue and nose. The drawback for this one for me is the alcohol. It lingers throughout the bottle. I have grown accustomed to not tasting the alcohol and like my wines that way. This one unfortunately for nostalgia sake doesn't make the cut for me anymore. — 9 years ago
This one is lighter on the acid than many sub $10 wines but for only $3.... Including tax. Decent flavor. Not complex at all and good to drink right from the bottle. More complexity and flavor than boxed wines and richer too. If you like $2/$3 buck chuck then give this one a try. Not at all sorry I bought it. *update* just ate a pack of oloves olives (basil garlic) with this wind and man o man did it jump the flavor up a ton. Seems like the pairing this wine is capable of is geared towards more vinegar-ish food. Basil and and garlic complement it well too. — 9 years ago
I didn't really enjoy this one as much as I hoped I would. It seemed lacking in some way that escapes me. Flavor was just so so. Not what I normally get when I try a Pinot noir. It wasn't bad. Just not good. The acid kind of creeps up on you. 15 minutes after consuming this I got hiccups and a little bit of indigestion. I am a bit reluctant to blame this on the wine though because we just had a birthday festivus at a Brazilian Steakhouse. None the less it wouldn't be the first time a wine has done that so I am including it in my review for others to be aware of. I drank a glass and my dad drank a glass and then we didn't touch the rest. We did drink it relatively fast from the bottle though so maybe it'd help if it aerated a bit. — 9 years ago
Popped the bottle tonight. Not my favorite. Alcohol is a bit too harsh for my liking and lingers around a little too much for me after swallowing. Perhaps with a pairing it might negate this though. (Hence the reason for the 7.5) I think had I had a nice medium rare beef tenderloin or ribeye to match it with it might have come across better. The cheap price and my lack of pairing is why I'm giving this a 7.5 and not lower. By its self though I can't drink it. — 9 years ago
This has been a joy to drink. Paired it with a medium rare tenderloin steak and it has been fantastic. I am routinely impressed my the pairing of a good red and steak. But this one paired well. Regardless of the pairing; this wine would be perfect even by itself. The drink ability isn't hindered by the pairing or not. The wine is absolutely great by itself. The is virtually no acidity. No bad creep up on indigestion. The flavor is good and tasty especially through the entire bottle. It has been a joy. I feel great and that's probably the wine talking. Smooth and tasty and no acid. No indigestion. Decently smooth flavor (at least enough to tide you over until the buzz sets in) and more of a dryer wine. An absolute steal at $4. A bottle in at this moment and I'd go for another bottle. — 9 years ago
Not a bad merlot. Doesn't taste like Merlot though. Reminds me of the box wine Franzia red blend. Light almost carbonated but not quite there. It's not bad though for $2.79. It's tart and light in your mouth. Non acidic. Kinda leaves a metallic taste in your mouth. Alcohol is a bit too exposed. In a pinch this would be ok but there are better $3 wines out there. Will likely try the others in this line though. — 9 years ago

A very smooth wine for the price point. One bottle on this and two bottles of Kendall Jackson Chardonnay later and I'm loving life. This wine was smooth and non acidic. Light on the nose alcohol wise and left me with little indigestion if any. Alcohol was lacking flavor wise instead I was greeted with a tart flavor I can't describe. I would certainly buy this again though. I liked it. My guests loved it. — 9 years ago
