Another fun selection from the WINC wine club. This is dubbed as an Alsatian white blend from California. Don't have the exact varietal breakdown in front of me, but if I remember correctly it had Gewurtz & Riesling for sure. Nothing over the top sweet. There is some fruit to it but more like an Unripened honeydew or cantaloupe melon with a dry finish. Good medium body with some minerality similar to drinking out o a garden hose during the summer. Fun wine but nothing that stands out to say WOW! Probably really good with some spicy food. Who's cooking?

Although a little on the dry side, the fruity mixture of the different grapes was quite nice.

Light and refreshing, but with something nutty about the smell and the taste of it. I like it, gives it a nice autumnish feel to it, especially with the squash and cheese ravioli and salad I paired it with. Should drink up nicely after dinner on its own as well.

Oct 1st, 2016This blend is closest to a Riesling I'd say. Some melon is present but a bit too sweet for my taste. Perhaps it would be best in a spritzer.
