Although friends tell me it should be kept for another 5 years, I had to try it. Power cherries, bayleaf licquorish, italian herbs. Somewhat sweet, but nice acids. Almond bitters. And soft tanine telling you it needs some more years.

Absolutely stunning. Decanted over 2hours. This is a bold and complex wine that continues to evolve in the glass as the hours go by. Dark,
Black cherries, cassis, blackberries,
dark chocolate cake, hints of vanilla, oak, sprinkled soft baking spices followed by very heavy tannins that linger far longer than you could imagine. Wow.

5 year anniversary wine. Picked up at zenato winery 2 years ago. Awesome. Black and blue berry nose. Hint vanilla. Cherry perfume. Wow. Taste fruit bomb starburst with red and black fruit andbof course prune. Delicious persists. Classic amarone from classic Garda producer. Will be back...1 more bottles drink in next 30 years.

Never had the riserva before but loving the normal amarones from Zenato. They age always very well.
This however is clearly in another league. Very extracted! Tanins very present. Though it is drinking nicely I will keep my other bottles and revisit in another 5 years. Good future I think and hope 😉.
