Uncaged North Coast Proprietary Red Blend

Menu said vintage = 2013, but they served 2014 - still delicious!! Can't imagine how good it might be in 3-5 years....

Nice ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Fruity nose of blackberries, blueberries, sweet plums, oak, licorice, spices, earth, chocolates, tobacco, peppercorn and espresso.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity. Smooth with long legs.

Dry on the palate and fruity, with cherries, currants, sweet plums, alcohol, light vegetables, coffee, chocolates, tobacco, black pepper and spices.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a nice surprise. A great red blend from California. Balanced and enjoyable with mild complexity. Will be good in the next few years, but not for a long time. Spicy and smooth with a soft mouthfeel. Drinking nicely now all by itself.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

Not a fan. Nose and palate seem unrefined and assaulting. Honestly I think the name refers to the dominant flavor note I get, hamster cage. Zac Brown should probably stick to music.

Taste slightly sweet with taste of strawberries raspberry and a hint of vanilla. Think there is a syrah on it

Really enjoyed this. Very smooth once it breathed. Would definitely buy this again !

Zac brown uncared is a great blend, it's perfect for a summer backyard bbq. Pairs well with a fried chicken and tight jeans. It's almost like drinking cold beer on a Friday night with the radio up. It finishes with the bold taste of sunshine and the love of a woman's eyes. Makes me feel like wearing an America flag headband and moving to Georgia.

Not too bad at all, not as sweet personally as much as some people have said it to be.

Very smooth and pretty sweet. Jammy with dark berry flavors. Delicious.
