Beaujolais Gamay

Pure, dense, hulking, but kind of a mouse trap.

Delicate, 11.5%. Complex

Smells beautiful. A little thin on the palate, but very enjoyable.

Have tasted a 1/2 dozen or so bottles of this vintage. Bottles can vary considerably. Some show crunchy purity and others are riddled with brett beyond a threshold I prefer. Fun to open for those who have never tasted though.

Black, tarry raspberry, meaty, rocky, feral, floral...deeply mineral, precisely textured and weightless, yet structured. Beautiful, complex, rare, just how I like it.
