This is a tasty Syrah from the south of Israel. Easy drinking and good by itself or with food.

Dark purple in color with a purplish rim.

Full bodied with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate and fruit forward.

Showing black fruits with oak, licorice, spices, tobacco, coffee and earth.

Short finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

A new world Syrah in style. Nice and engaging.

I've had a few different vintages of this wine, and the blend changes through the vintages.

A blend of 77% Syrah, 16% Tannant and 7% Malbec. Aged in large oak barrels for 12 months. Kosher and not Mevushal.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

90 points.

Dark inky in color with a reddish rim.

Strong nose of plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, black plums, barnyard, earth, vegetables, peppercorn, dark chocolates and bitter herbs.

Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with plums, currants, oak, vanilla, licorice, bitter herbs, earth, vegetables, black tea, chocolates dark coffee and black pepper.

Nice finish with fine grained tannins and raspberries.

This is a unique Syrah based blend from Israel. Nicely balanced and still young. Earthy and stinky, in a good way. Feels like a Northern Rhône Syrah.

This 4 year old is starting to drink nicely now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.

Needs 3 hours to open up properly, but good right out of the bottle too.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with dried meats.

A blend of 73% Syrah, 11% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, 7% Mourvedre and 3% Grenache. Aged for 12 months in large oak barrels. Kosher and not Mevushal.

This Syrah blend from Israel is starting to drink nicely now. Showing nice complexity and feels like a blend of new and old world wine.

Dry on the palate with a nice mouthfeel.

Showing black currants, plums, cooked cherries, earth, oak, spices, licorice, peppercorn, coffee, dark chocolates, graphite and light vegetables.

I had it a year ago, and it is drinking better now. Would continue to age nicely in the next 5 years.

Needs 3 hours to open up properly and show the fruits, but very drinkable right out of the bottle.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with light appetizers.

Yatir winery.
Yatir Creek 2015, a blend of Syrah, Tanant and Malbec. An interesting blend based on Syrah. Thick, purple color. Cherries and plum hints on the nose. Balanced, tanins already soft. Was a good companion to the wintery lunch we had.
