On the nose raspberry, young fruit, unripe cherry, alcohol. Tobacco and fresh wood. On the palate almost sweet, very tannic, fresh dirt, old wood, tobacco, black pepper. Very heavy, still tastes fresh; could be better in a few years.

Feb 2nd, 2015I bought this lovely wine from a lovely Frenchman who said I spoke French very well. I was supposed to save it for friends but I opened it up after work instead. It is meaty and spicy on the nose with notes of black pepper and allspice. Tart with red fruits.
