Ripe fruits, pretty ruby color, light in your tongue with slight tannin finish, rather simple but good conversation wine.

Very delicate yet assertive expression of pinot. Pours a dark dirty raspberry color into the glass. The nose is liquor infused raspberries and black cherries. The palate up front is acidic, yet lots of good red berry hits your palate. The wine has a rather full bodied mouthfeel in the entry, noticed more after the acidity died. The middle has a touch of sweetness and some herb, more complex than I thought it would be. Pepper and acidity started to build. The finish of this wine is all red berry crush. Went very well with Chinese food. This Pinot from this boutique Rutherford producer is incredibly well done and worth every penny. Rather sad that the avg rating on this one is 8.6 because, well...it's a little higher than that. GREAT QPR on this wine.
