Notes are very similar to the ‘13 I opened two months ago in regards to aromatics. Dusty raspberries and ripe, fresh squeezed blackberries on the nose. Medium bodied. Red and black fruit dominant on the palate with currant, tobacco, and typical Rutherford “dust”, but there is an additional smoked meat note here (very faint). Less of a spice on the finish as there was with the ‘13...more fruit and tannin in comparison. This has a bit more of a flavor punch than the ‘13.

After a bit of a hiatus from drinking wine once last weekend’s WNH event ended, it’s time to get back to it! @Mark Flesher gifted this to me as he’s a big WH fan, and after trying many of their wines, I am too.

This is meant to be an easy drinking, easily pair-able wine. Mission accomplished. Dusty raspberries and ripe, fresh squeezed blackberries on the nose. Medium bodied. Very little tannic bite, with accompanying acidity, implying this is indeed meant to be enjoyed young. Red and black fruit dominant on the palate with currant, tobacco, and typical Rutherford “dust”. There is a fairly pronounced herbal spice toward the back and finish...sage and black pepper, maybe? Great QPR here.

Wonderful, not too big blend that offers up cedar notes and jammy plums that lead to a long finish. Would benefit from drinking with food as it can only get better.

Nose: Intense black cherry and black berry fruit. Some pomegranate, ripe to over ripe and jammy as hell. Theres a slight trace of earth with excellent oak. Vanilla and spices like cinnamon and pepper come mind. Methopyrazines are present, slight vegetal bell pepper on the nose.
Palate: black fruit, black cherries, black berry and cranberry fruit. All very ripe in flavor. Stewed cherries linger. The oak is super nice, a level, cinnamon creme brûlée vanilla essence. The oak lingers in a really good way. This is excellent.

Solid wine from Bill Harrison. Deep purple color. Aromas of raspberry, blackberry, earthy, dust notes and spice box. Great wine with the pipe. Loads of dark fruit and blue fruit on the palate - nice tannins. Cheers!

Easy to distinguish the oak influence. Easy drinking. Paired with a pork chop and lamb.
