Enjoyed for Thanksgiving 2019. This wine from a 750 is ready to go. No decant. Nose of blackberry, licorice and rhubarb. Entry is more black cherry with mature fruit ready to kick ass and take names. Balanced from front to back. Good acidity from start to finish. Mags of this need to sit for years. No rush on this one to get rid of it.

Ready to rock and roll. Blackberry and red clay on the nose. Entry of black cherry and cola with acidic character. Middle is dark, smoky, leather, more blackberry and hint of cocoa. Still finishes with a young semi sweet baking chocolate and Rutherford dust! Black pepper finish is unmistakable with a ton of black fruit, and plenty of life left. Dang.

Disappointing for a cab lover. Just flat and lacking body, tannin and oaky leather.

Dang. VERY GLAD I have a mag of this in addition to a few more 750's. Delicious. After a decant and 30 minutes of time, this one was starting to show but it wasn't until 2 hours that the acidity started to die a little more on the back end. This wine is a blackberry bomb, but not in a "jam bomb" kind of way. The nose pretty much equals the palate. Lots of pure, hearty blackberries, young fruit but stops at that chalkiness that sometimes is a little overdone in the younger wines. This wine has a floral goodness in the middle. Hearty. Finishes with CLASSIC "Rutherford Dust." When I think about a Rutherford Cab, this is the one. If André Tchelistcheff was alive today, this would be his "go to" Cab.
