Wind Gap Wines
Brosseau Vineyard Chardonnay
Chalone, Central Coast, California, USA
Mind blowing chard. Unfiltered, concrete ferment, 12.2abv, reminds me of aged Ganevat. Nutty, lemony and cheesy

Very closed at first but opened up to a nice fruity bouquet with a touch of mineral. Balanced acidity and very rich. I don't love this wine but I liked it with my goat cheese & bacon ravioli. This wine definitely needs food, it's too much on its own. I bought it because I stayed at a bed and breakfast at Brosseau vineyards and loved the land.

Hallelujah! This thing has suprising lasted despite my lack of patience. Fnally broke down, curious how time has changed this magical creature. Where it once was as jammy as marionberry preserves it's now smoky. Where it once was inky as all imagination it is now bone dry and tannic. Still it's neat to see this cool climate Syrah grow into something more akin to a Walla Walla valley. Will grab your palate so accompany with fatty foods.
