wente small lot wine for some Shakespeare in the round at wente. 60% cab and 40% cab franc. This duetto used to be a 50/50 cab blend of Wente's napa and Livermore vineyards (smith and sachau). Now it is all Livermore as wente sold their napa vines.

Full bodied smooth red wine. Great with steak and heavier foods. Slightly bitter with balanced acidity. Strong when first opened so leave it to aerate for a while before tasting.

Quite a delight! Really good balance with a nice long finish. Young. Needs a bit of time for tannins to mellow out.
