Piesporter Goldtröpfchen Kabinett Riesling

2016 vintage. Young but drinking very easily. True to type petrol and some tropical fruit. Well balanced.

Perfect with Thai food. Serve at 50 degrees. Low alcohol 8%.

An off-dry Mosel Riesling with white flowers, citrus peel, and flint. Pretty good with spicy Tex-Mex, but I tend to go for the drier versions.

2016

Aprils theme is nostalgia. Some recent bad news has me thinking about fathers. Each Christmas my father purchased #piesporter for the dinner. It is the first wine I can remember sampling. Bright yellow and clear. Citrus nose (lemon) and spring flowers. Lemon and line on the palate. Definitely tart with a slight dry finish.

So old and still so damn awesome. Perfect with shellfish course
