Kaseler Nies'chen Spätlese Riesling

Virtually the same profile as my note from last year, though it might have gotten just a notch deeper in tone. The fruit is all pineapple and lush tropical fruit though in a somewhat deeper, brassier register. Fortunately it still has that cutting acidity and spritz that gives this plenty of refreshment value.

Rich, luscious style brimming with pineapple and tropical fruit - this could have passed for an auslese. But it's still plenty crisp, even when it warms up, with a buzzing spine and a mineral edge that veers between slate and saltiness.
