Fresh & sappy with underripe cherry, cranberry and whiff of moss and a pinch of fresh mint. A touch of plum, too.
On the palate this is light yet with nice juicy tannins giving a frame and the cranberry acidity filling it. Fresh, sappy and so drinkable.
There’s a touch of fatty, bright character, so typical German and so unnecessary.
But at 7€ this is absolutely brilliant, even if the top Vernatsch from Südtirol (at 30€+!) are a nudge purer and a touch more mineral.
