So much to unpack here, least of all it’s Pinot Meunier from Germany. Starts out juicy and round but then quickly gets darker and more savory with a very hint spicy pepper bite if you really pay attention.

Very dry (trocken) German Pinot Meunier (usually used for sparkling wine), starts out fruity but end up with peppery finish, at The City Winery in Boston

Light bodied but tannic. Ate this with pizza but might have enjoyed it more with steak.
