No formal notes. Love 2020. So classic and mineral. Huge wet earth nose that developed into a mineral nose with crystalline purity. Palate is round and electric at the same time. Some fruit but more mineral driven

Outrageous right now. So silky and a hint of petrol. Awesome texture and apricot on finish. Singing.

Damn. Floral, confectionary, racy, good acid and minerals, great balance; airy but firm as hell.

freak show of a nose. wow. confectionery. cotton candy. wow. best hohen sulzen nose. honey. The acidity is nuts. The angles. What a nose. This vintage was created for me. The sugar. These are so complex. Stunning. Finest Hohen Sulzen ever.

What a great showing. Confectionery nose. Superb minerality. So complex. Apricot and peach skin. Just staggering minerality. Palate is bright and full of energy and so pure. Terrific acidity. Really long and clings to the palate. A brilliant showing. Wonderful texture. Outrageous.

The new vintage at Battenfeld Spanier is always exciting. And 2020 is a doozy. Superb confectionary nose with kumquats, cotton candy, citrus, even more complex citrus and that tell tale limestone minerality. Really gorgeous penetrating minerality. So pure and deep. What a nose. I love love this wine. 2013 was our first ever white wine of the year. The vivid citrus character is really just gorgeous here. What a palate. A masterclass in elegance and skeletal structure. So clean, so mineral. Just washes your palate with minerals. Terrific inner mouth citrus aromas and also the tell tale vanilla extract and nougat flavors. Terrific energy and depth but what this really is about is the top top 1% finesse. A remarkable 1er Cru from Battenfeld Spanier. As it airs it gets sappier and juicier. But it retains this just monster finesse. Almost a 9.5. The finish is so clean and so pure. This is a stunning wine and unlike any Hohen Sulzen I’ve ever had.

Nose gets honeyed after air with Judy stunning and vivid fruit. Some papaya but juuuuuuust ripe. This is so good. Wow, that mineral wash combined with the gorgeous citrus fruit character is something else.

What a wine. Confectionary beyond aromas. Wet rocks. Citrus. So beautiful. Crushed candied rock candy. Amazing palate. Super slathered by minerals. Tangerine. Lime. Super pure and concentrated. Elegant. Not sugary but spun sugary. Absurd mineralIty. Complex and concentrated. Insane drinkability. Airiness. So pure. So clean. So juicy. Harmonious. Best HZ ever. Elegant and harmonious. Long. Stunning. So pure. Hits every nook and cranny.

Nose is rocking out of the gates. Smokey, spicey, marzipan, coconut, ginger, so good and unique. Chiseled and mineral. So elegant and fine. Wispy. Fresh and incisive with terrific finesse. Awesome energy and balance. Long mineral finish. Sappy.

Again, honeyed, rich, limey gorgeousness. Summer feels ♥️

Unreal wine. Gorgeous nose. Honey, tangelo, confectionery aromas, perfumed and elegant, palate is elegant, mineral and honeyed, sappy and elegant. Complex. Really fine. Intensely flavored but also so fine. Long finish.
