Second bottle started out too cold, teeth scratchingly steely, after reaching cellar temp first impressions were validated. Nice and crisp.

Dec 4th, 2015Wenzel's Furmint from Rust in Burgenland, where we stayed in 2012. This version is bright and steely, no oak no malo, unlike some of the Hungarian versions. Think Sauvignon without the cat pee component, or Riesling without the diesel? Good as aperitif or with food. 12.5%
