It’s no cubs wine but it’s still a nice fruit forward blend. Not too juicy or sweet.

Mike said 8.5, I said 8.7 because of the peppery Syrah accents that I enjoy so much, so we compromised at 8.6. A red blend, but a bit young. Opened up a bit hot, very little fruit aromas, but some coffee, pepper and oak. The palate is clearly Syrah, with black pepper and earthy dark fruit. Paired nicely with whole wheat pasta, sausage and my mom's marinara. Give this one another year or two--fortunately we have another bottle in the cellar. Oh, and go Cubs! (And A's) 😉

Pleasantly surprised by this one! A solid wine with a little spice. Whiff of ethanol on first sip, but quickly mellowed into a solid sip!
