Very pleasant nose right out of the bottle. Comes out feisty and bold but softens tremendously with air. I wish it held that initial backbone a bit longer because it is really good. Primary notes are dark cherry and cassis. The salient quality is the fantastic acidity which becomes more pronounced as the tannins seem to fade into the background. This is a wine that pairs exceptionally well with spicy foods. At $20 it’s worth a go. -Cheers
