I've noticed most wines I drink from the Pacific Northwest tend to have this "rainfall" quality on the nose. Not muddy earth but the dampness you can smell walking outside after a rain. It's lovely. The vegetal notes are subdued but apparent, with fruit coming forward on the palate. Nice acidity, fresh and inviting. This is a cab you can drink on its own or be a little better with red meats. Your choice. Can't go wrong.
