My favorite part of this wine is how restrained it is. Awesome mahogany color with a brick rim. Dusty nose. Still tons of tannin left with some really nice brambly fruit. Puckery tannic finish. Alcohol wasn't listed but it has to be low. Class act.

Aug 21st, 2016Fairly typical Diamond Mountain District quality, but the 05 is, I would argue, on its last legs. A damn fine wine, make no mistake, but I think it's just past its peak.

Jun 5th, 2016Diamond Mountain Rainin Vineyard just above Diamond Creek takes advantage of the volcanic soil to get a slight spice to go with a tight fruit. Better than the typical Von Strasser.
