Rainin Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Herbal, Candy Cane, Earth, and Brambly Fruit. Good up front but drops off in the back. Drink now.

Getting better with air, but damn, sweet and raisiny when first opened.

Notes of berry and fruit. Oak-y and dry. 👌🏽

My favorite part of this wine is how restrained it is. Awesome mahogany color with a brick rim. Dusty nose. Still tons of tannin left with some really nice brambly fruit. Puckery tannic finish. Alcohol wasn't listed but it has to be low. Class act.

Fairly typical Diamond Mountain District quality, but the 05 is, I would argue, on its last legs. A damn fine wine, make no mistake, but I think it's just past its peak.

Diamond Mountain Rainin Vineyard just above Diamond Creek takes advantage of the volcanic soil to get a slight spice to go with a tight fruit. Better than the typical Von Strasser.

This was actually the Spaulding. Opened up nicely with some time. Could have waited another year.

A little dry, but great!!
