First off, I'm not a big CA fan and don't like zin at all, but maybe it's the age. Similar to amarone. Nose is nice. Finish is short but raisins. I'm surprised we can drink this and not hate it. Again. Maybe it's the age, but I'll go with a pretty decent zin. All that jammy fruit-forward punch in your face crap is gone. If you're an old wine fan and like zin, you would kind of enjoy this.
