I learned from the last time I had this, and let it decant for about 4 hours before drinking. Great example of Cabernet based Bordeaux. Lots of oak on this one. Full-bodied, powerful, with just enough tannins to pair beautifully with red meat.

Killer nose. Like walking through an old cabin. Earthy, woody, faintly oxidative. Heady. But like most young, inexpensive Bordeaux, it's a bit rough on the palate. Tight, tannic, and underripe. I will wager, though, that in another 5-10 years when this has softened, it will be much more approachable.
