This is a clean, dry, deep ruby, medium body Carmenere (Santa Ana Vineyard - this producer's best vineyard) from the D.O Colchagua Valley, Chile. Well balanced with moderate fruitiness, acidity, tannins and alcohol 13.5 % ABV. Initial aromas of mint, vanilla cream soda & about 3/4 of the way through the sniff is p-mentha-8-thiol-3-one. This is a delicous wine that was decanted and chilled to the correct serving temperature. Not a big bold wine but drinks above it's class.

Aug 7th, 2016Love this one. And under $10? Yee haw! Full, berries, smooth and spicy. This wine rocks.

Jun 3rd, 2016Nose of plum, blackberries, pencil shavings and a plush (spongy) moist forest. Starts sweet/wet firm rolling tannins and a thin finish that remains hot for a minute or two. Lacks complexity on the finish but the sweet berries and active body make up for this slight shortcoming.
