A very earthy red from Chile. Lots of vegetable notes on the nose. Showing a great dark ruby color.
Dry On the palate with black currants, earth, wood, vanilla, vegetables, wet leaves, forest floor, peppercorn, smoke and dark coffee.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and nice legs.
A good food wine. I paired it with Brie cheese and crackers.
Carmenere grapes were aged in French oak barrels for 12 months.
14% alcohol by volume.
