When I first drank this in 2012 there was a noticeable menthol quality that overpowered the earthiness....this is what attracted me to this wine. Now in 2014, on the cusp of 2015, that quality is gone. Now, I find a minerality that makes this beautiful Rioja unique.

18 beautiful ruby, some legs, intense and rich, long, oak perfectly integrated. More fruit than many Riojas but still elegant. Very fine.
