This isn't the Field Blend, but 100% Carignan. Dried herb nose, with black pepper, fennel, and raspberry. And wow. Flavor explosion. Pepper and fennel again on the palate, with some lip smacking tannins. Not juicy, but a nice dry fruit. Quite delicious! This was a substitute because another Mendo Carignan was out of stock, and what a winner. Austere and almost old world in execution. Love this!!
