Stagnum Plavac Mali
Like old vine amador zin. Huge dried fruit with dusty leathery character. Really mature probably due to 36 month elevage.

Mar 28th, 2014Great variant of Plavac mali, ripe black fruits, but it lacks the right bouquet. Thick in mouth, thin on nose, rather short aftertaste. To be honest, I expected more.
Edit: much of the taste suddenly appeared after warming the wine to real room temperature of about 24 C 😁

Beautiful wine. Well balanced, nice body and medium tannins. Black fruit with leathery hints.

May 10th, 2017My favouritw Plavac Mali! Organic wine. Fermented in open top oak vats. Aged in big oak casks.
Appearance: Garnet with brown rim.
Nose: Dark cherry, ripped plum, ripped blackberry, fruit rollup, sage, and a hint of chocolate.
Taste: Dark fruit, date, nut, and savoury spice. Equilibrium in a bottle with fruit, savoury, mineral, and spice all balanced out, maintained by lively acidity.
Winemaker said it can be aged for another decade. Sure. But I think the 2009 is already at its prime. Drink now or within a year or two.
