Did you know that yesterday was Malbec World Day? I love nothing more than fake holidays that celebrate wine, so we had some friends over to eat duck and drink side-by-side new and old world Malbecs.
This guy had one of those ridiculous 95pt shelf stickers at the LCBO. It was obviously too good to be true at this price point, but I'm a sucker for a deal.
The shelf sticker was overzealous as expected, but I'm still giving it a nine. Smooth, with lovely dark fruit and violet. It was the star of the meal.
