A big thanks to Vinaceous for sending this bottle of 2016 'Salome' Tempranillo Rosé over for us to try. The grapes come from the Geographe wine region of WA and after some googling I presume the name refers to: "Salome was the daughter of Herod II and Herodias. She is infamous for demanding and receiving the head of John the Baptist, according to the New Testament". Sounds like a wine full of girl power or perhaps a little craziness?!
Pretty pink, almost fluorescent colour on the eye with florals, rhubarb and a sense of savouriness to it on the nose. In the mouth it's smooth and easy drinking with refreshing acidity and juicy flavours of red berry fruit with a hint of spice. Dry Rosé-lovers, this is one for you! And yes I'd like the nail polish colour please 💕
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #gifted #tcweekdaywine #tctastingnotes
