Viña Zorzal
El Inquilino Rioja Viura

this is the white rioja.
The nose is flinty at first, with crushed rocks sent and even gun powder. There are stone fruits touches too and white flower notes. The palate is wide, with some acid drive but it's not what defines it, some soft, almost buttery touches all along, some pear and peach, a bit of phenolic grip in the rear before a long finish with that tiny butter note, some pear and peach, and that very soft layer that keeps lingering for a good while. There are layers and dimensions to this white wine and I really enjoy it. It's very well made. Good stuff!
