Bright, deep gold. Nose is very shy, but gives tart yellow apple and butterscotch. Full palate echoes the nose with less butterscotch and a firm backbone of stony mineral-laden acidity. Finish is a bit short, but honestly you won't care after that mouthful of slate. If you drink Albariño as a sipper, this is your step up to Albariño as a dinner wine. Lemon salmon with four-cheese gnocchi is my pairing, and it will go equally well with similar hearty sea fare. Drink now through 2026.
